Since the founding of the TESS Unlimited Foundation, De Goede Illuminated Signs has been actively involved in Tessa de Goede’s work in Guatemala.
In that time, we have visited a number of projects and have supported the foundation with our technical and commercial expertise.
During the MOBA 2013 Fashion Biennale, the catwalk show ‘Lick My Wounds – Fashion With a Restriction’ was held on 20 June 2013. The models parading down the catwalk were all people with disabilities.
Their spectacular show was dressed by renowned designers such as The People of The Palbyrinths, Sjaak Hullekes, Romy Kokke, GSUS, Hans Ubbink and Eva Luna. The object jewellery and aprons made of sand were provided by Petra Hartman. ‘Lick My Wounds’ tied into curator Lidewij Edelkoort’s theme for MOBA 2013: ‘Fetishism in Fashion’.
De Goede Illuminated Signs sponsored the designs by Romy Kokke and ‘pimped’ the models’ wheelchairs for the show on the catwalk. Below is a video impression of the show:
